Beyond Chapter One
Chapter One moves from dark fruit and smoke to soft musk and tea. There is more than one way through the eight fragrances, and their contrasts offer a place to begin.
Two directions to explore
Three Kinds of Smoke reads the smoke in 01 Before The Crown, 05 Plum Beneath Snow and 08 Beyond The Horizon. In 05, syrupy plum and spice sit over smoked oud and resin.
For soft musk, start with 03 Space Between Us, with its iris and orange blossom. 04 Tea Beneath Clouds brings bergamot to oolong tea, fig and musk. Musk, Tea and Citrus in Chapter One sets them beside the brighter orange, bergamot and ginger of 06 Sun Through Linen.
Made by hand in La Conner
Dave composes every Aether fragrance himself and makes it by hand in La Conner, Washington. The eight fragrances in Chapter One are extraits de parfum at 30% concentration or more, each in 10 mL, 30 mL and 50 mL.
